LIXIL GALLERY will close its doors permanently on September 30, 2020, ending its 40 years of history.
The gallery first opened in Ginza as INA GALLERY in 1981, when then Ina Seito set up a showroom in Tokyo, with the vision to create a space for cultural activities in the best location. Since then, we have held 977 exhibitions, including the Touring Exhibitions Regarding Architecture, Design, and Related Fields (in Tokyo and Osaka), Art & Architecture Exhibitions, and Ceramic Exhibitions, which started after the gallery was renamed to LIXIL GALLERY in 2013.
Over the years, our activities have been blessed with the support of many architects, artists, designers, and researchers. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our supporters who generously and passionately contributed their knowledge and expertise. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited the LIXIL GALLERY for each exhibition, supporting us by enjoying experiencing new ideas and appreciating works of art.
LIXIL is committed to passing on the diverse nature of craftsmanship and manufacturing to future generations and will continue its cultural activities based on its unique perspectives mainly through the INAX MUSEUMS in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.
We thank you for your continued patronage towards LIXIL's cultural activities.
